Residence extention

This is applicable if your internship is 18 months lenght OR if your one year internship is extended by the company due to your performance, congratulations!

You must start your process at the migration office before the last 30 days of your valid residence, by consequence, the company has to inform you in advance if you will be required up to 6 additional months.

Please download and fill the following letters, both are required for your extention.

 

 

 

Please send the "AIESEC letter"  to migration@aiesec.org.mx  with copy to dpalacios@aiesec.org.mx  and write your mexican address. We will send you the letter signed by our legal representative.

Fill, download and print the following form

   - In the field "Qué desea hacer?" select "Extender estancia"

   - In the field "Especifique" select "Expedición de tarjeta de residente por Renovación"

Download, fill and print the following "Pago de derechos" form:

   - Select "Derecho de Residente Temporal DRT" and then "Derecho de Residente Temporal. Hasta un año (DRT). Renovación.

Present documentation to Migration Office

 

  • Original and photocopy of your passport 

  • Original and photocopy of your VISA

  • Original and photocopy of your Residence Card

  • Photocopy of the IFE from the legal AIESEC representative

  • AIESEC Letter

  • Trainee Letter

  • "Solicitud de estancia" form

  • "Pago de derechos" form

 

From this point onwards, it is the same process that you made for your first Residence Card, be in constant comunication with the Migration office.
